Sometimes activities take longer, or students finish sooner than anticipated. This is where you need to be flexible with regards to your lesson plan. You will have to make on-the-spot decisions, to either drop an activity or add something new, but without affecting your main lesson aims. A good lesson plan will be one which is a clear working document. In other words, another teacher would be able to teach your lesson by using your plan as a guide.
